I feel fine and have no bloating, but I guess my body is just super sensitive to the stimulation meds. I was hoping to trigger, but don't think I can due to the high estradiol levels. The nurse reassured me that this was very common and everything was going to be ok, but I am still worried. There was another couple out in lobby waiting for the nurse to bring them the same medication, so that made me feel a little better. I've been an emotional basketcase this afternoon with all these hormones raging. I feel so vulnerable, overly sensitive and irritable. I pray that these E2 levels go down, so I can trigger and get on the other side of this IVF process.
Hang in there. I know it's worrisome but like I said yesterday, I was in a similar situation. I was taken off everything a day or so before triggering and had to take a medication similar to Ganrelix to bring my E2 down before triggering - I think it's common (like your nurse said). And don't worry, you'll make it to ER (stop reading stuff online!!) Thinking about you lots!
ReplyDeletethanks Jen! Appreciate the comment. I'll keep you posted.
ReplyDeleteI hope everything works out for you! My clinic suggested Gatorade and a high protein/low carb/low sugar diet to help combat/prevent OHSS. Good luck!!!
ReplyDeleteI also "coasted" during my ER. I understand being scared but remember you are in the best hands in the country! They do this all the time and know how to manage OHSS. Take care of yourself, drink lots of water/Gatorade (Gatorade makes a low cal version if you don't want all those calories), and rest so you body can keep growing those eggs :)
ReplyDeleteHang in there! CCRM definitely knows what they're doing and you're in great hands.
ReplyDeleteI agree with everything that the other posters have suggested. Drink Gatorade and other sports drinks and lots of protein...for some reason that seems to help OHSS.
I'll be thinking of you! Good luck!!
